2. In kralj pokliče Gibeončane in govori ž njimi. (Gibeončani pa niso bili izmed sinov Izraelovih, ampak iz ostanka Amorejcev, in sinovi Izraelovi so jim prisegli mir. Toda Savel jih je poskušal iztrebiti v svoji gorečnosti za sinove Izraelove in Judove.)
