17. A Dávid povedal Bohu: Či nie som to ja, ktorý som rozkázal spočítať ľud? A tedy ja som ten, ktorý som zhrešil a ktorý som preveľmi zle urobil, ale tieto ovce, čože tie urobily? Hospodine, môj Bože, nech je, prosím, tvoja ruka proti mne a proti domu môjho otca, ale nie proti tvojmu ľudu, aby bol bitý ranou.
