17. Kisha Sauli akamwambia Daudi, Tazama, binti yangu mkubwa, Merabu, huyu nitakupa wewe ili umwoe; ila na wewe uniwie hodari wa vita, na kuvipiga vita vya Bwana. Maana Sauli alisema moyoni mwake, Mkono wangu usiwe juu yake, bali mkono wa Wafilisti na uwe juu yake.
