17. தாவீது தேவனை நோக்கி: ஜனத்தை எண்ணச்சொன்னவன் நான் அல்லவோ? நான்தான் பாவஞ்செய்தேன்; பொல்லாப்பு நடப்பித்தேன்; இந்த ஆடுகள் என்னசெய்தது? என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, வாதிக்கும்படி உம்முடைய கரம் உம்முடைய ஜனத்திற்கு விரோதமாயிராமல், எனக்கும் என் தகப்பன் வீட்டிற்கும் விரோதமாயிருப்பதாக என்றான்.
