20. யோசியா தேவாலயத்திற்கு அடுத்ததைத் திட்டப்படுத்தின இந்த எல்லா நடபடிகளுக்கும்பின்பு, எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய நேகோ ஐபிராத்து நதியோரமான கர்கேமிஸ் பட்டணத்தின்மேல் யுத்தம்பண்ணவந்தான்; அப்பொழுது யோசியா அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய் யுத்தஞ்செய்யப் புறப்பட்டான்.
