17. யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அசரியாவின் முப்பத்தொன்பதாம் வருஷத்தில், காதியின் குமாரனாகிய மெனாகேம் இஸ்ரவேல்மேல் ராஜாவாகிச் சமாரியாவிலே பத்துவருஷம் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணி, அவன் தன் நாட்களிலெல்லாம் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.
