15. జనులు చేసిన మనవిని రాజు ఈ ప్రకారము అంగీకరింపక పోయెను. షిలోనీయుడైన అహీయాద్వారా నెబాతు కుమారుడైన యరొబాముతో తాను పలికించిన మాట నెరవేర్చవలెనని యెహోవా ఈలాగున జరిగించెను.
