21. แต่เมื่อฮาดัดอยู่ในอียิปต์ได้ยินว่าดาวิดได้ล่วงลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษของพระองค์แล้ว และโยอาบผู้บัญชาการกองทัพก็สิ้นชีวิตแล้ว ฮาดัดจึงทูลฟาโรห์ว่า "ขอข้าพระองค์ทูลลาเพื่อข้าพระองค์จะกลับไปยังประเทศของข้าพระองค์เอง"
