12. และนางตอบว่า "พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านทรงพระชนม์อยู่แน่ฉันใด ดิฉันไม่มีอะไรที่ปิ้งเสร็จ มีแต่แป้งสักกำมือหนึ่งในหม้อ และน้ำมันเล็กน้อยที่ในไห ดูเถิด ดิฉันกำลังเก็บฟืนสองท่อนเพื่อจะเข้าไปทำสำหรับตัวดิฉันและบุตรชายของดิฉัน เพื่อเราจะได้กินแล้วก็จะตาย"
