30. ฝ่ายซาอูลจึงเรียนว่า "ข้าพเจ้าได้กระทำบาปแล้ว แต่บัดนี้ขอท่านให้เกียรติแก่ข้าพเจ้า ต่อหน้าพวกผู้ใหญ่ของประชาชนของข้าพเจ้า และต่อหน้าคนอิสราเอล ขอกลับไปกับข้าพเจ้าเพื่อข้าพเจ้าจะได้นมัสการพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่าน"
