2. ซามูเอลก็กราบทูลว่า "ข้าพระองค์จะไปอย่างไรได้ ถ้าซาอูลได้ยินเขาคงฆ่าข้าพระองค์เสีย" และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "จงนำวัวตัวเมียไปกับเจ้าตัวหนึ่ง และกล่าวว่า `ข้าพเจ้ามาถวายสัตวบูชาแด่พระเยโฮวาห์'
