17. และกษัตริย์ก็รับสั่งแก่ทหารราบผู้ยืนเฝ้าอยู่ว่า "จงหันมาประหารปุโรหิตเหล่านี้ของพระเยโฮวาห์เสีย เพราะว่ามือของเขาอยู่กับดาวิดด้วย เขารู้แล้วว่ามันหนีไป แต่ไม่แจ้งให้เรารู้" แต่ข้าราชการผู้รับใช้ของกษัตริย์ไม่ยอมลงมือฟันปุโรหิตของพระเยโฮวาห์
