15. แล้วซามูเอลพูดกับซาอูลว่า "ท่านรบกวนเราด้วยเรียกเราขึ้นมาทำไม" ซาอูลทรงตอบว่า "ข้าพเจ้ามีความทุกข์หนัก เพราะคนฟีลิสเตียกำลังมาทำสงครามกับข้าพเจ้า และพระเจ้าทรงหันจากข้าพเจ้าเสียแล้ว มิได้ทรงตอบข้าพเจ้าอีกเลย ไม่ว่าโดยผู้พยากรณ์ หรือโดยความฝัน เพราะฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงขอเรียกท่านขึ้นมาเพื่อท่านจะได้แจ้งว่า ข้าพเจ้าจะกระทำประการใดดี"
