17. และเอลีถามว่า "เรื่องอะไรนะที่พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงบอกเจ้า ขออย่าปิดบังไว้จากเราเลย ถ้าเจ้าปิดบังสิ่งใดไว้จากเราในเรื่องทั้งสิ้นที่พระองค์ทรงบอกแก่เจ้าก็ขอพระเจ้าทรงลงโทษเจ้าและยิ่งหนักกว่า"
