9. ภายหลังเซนนาเคอริบกษัตริย์แห่งอัสซีเรีย (ผู้ซึ่งกำลังล้อมเมืองลาคีชอยู่ด้วยกำลังรบทั้งสิ้นของพระองค์) ได้รับสั่งให้ข้าราชการของพระองค์ไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็มถึงเฮเซคียาห์กษัตริย์ของยูดาห์ และถึงประชาชนทั้งปวงของยูดาห์ที่อยู่ในเยรูซาเล็มว่า
