4. แต่กษัตริย์อัสซีเรียได้ทรงพบความทรยศในโฮเชยา เพราะพระองค์ทรงใช้ผู้สื่อสารไปยังโสกษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์ และไม่ถวายเครื่องบรรณาการแก่กษัตริย์อัสซีเรียตามซึ่งพระองค์ทรงเคยกระทำทุกปี เพราะฉะนั้นกษัตริย์แห่งอัสซีเรียจึงขังพระองค์ไว้ และจำพระองค์ไว้ในคุก
