27. เมื่ออาหัสยาห์กษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์เห็นดังนั้น พระองค์ทรงหนีไปทางบ้านในสวน และเยฮูก็ติดตามพระองค์ไปตรัสว่า "จงยิงท่านในรถรบด้วย" และเขาทั้งหลายได้ยิงพระองค์ตรงทางข้ามเขาตำบลกูรซึ่งอยู่ใกล้อิบเลอัม และพระองค์ทรงหนีไปถึงเมืองเมกิดโด และสิ้นพระชนม์ที่นั่น
