25. ดาวิดก็รับสั่งผู้สื่อสารนั้นว่า "เจ้าจงบอกโยอาบดังนี้ว่า `อย่าให้เรื่องนี้ทำให้ท่านลำบากใจ เพราะดาบย่อมสังหารไม่เลือกว่าคนนั้นหรือคนนี้ จงสู้รบหนักเข้าไปและตีเอาเมืองนั้นเสียให้ได้' เจ้าจงหนุนน้ำใจท่านด้วย"
