8. กษัตริย์ก็ทรงลุกขึ้นประทับที่ประตูเมือง เขาไปบอกประชาชนทั้งหลายว่า "ดูเถิด กษัตริย์ประทับอยู่ที่ประตูเมือง" ประชาชนทั้งหลายก็มาเฝ้ากษัตริย์ ฝ่ายอิสราเอลนั้นต่างคนต่างก็หนีไปยังเต็นท์ของตนหมดแล้ว
