19. และดาวิดทรงทูลถามพระเยโฮวาห์ว่า "ควรที่ข้าพระองค์จะยกขึ้นไปสู้รบกับคนฟีลิสเตียหรือ พระองค์จะทรงมอบเขาไว้ในมือข้าพระองค์หรือไม่" และพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงตอบดาวิดว่า "จงขึ้นไปเถิด เพราะเราจะมอบคนฟีลิสเตียไว้ในมือของเจ้าเป็นแน่"
