35. ฝ่ายนายอำเภอเมื่อบังคับให้ประชาชนเงียบลงแล้วจึงกล่าวว่า "ท่านชาวเอเฟซัสทั้งปวง มีผู้ใดบ้างซึ่งไม่ทราบว่า ชาวเมืองเอเฟซัสนี้เป็นผู้รักษาพระวิหารของพระแม่เจ้าอารเทมิสที่เป็นใหญ่ และเป็นผู้รักษารูปศิลาซึ่งตกลงมาจากฟ้า
