24. แล้วดาเนียลก็เข้าไปหาอารีโอคผู้ซึงกษัตริย์แต่งตั้งให้ฆ่านักปราชญ์แห่งบาบิโลน ท่านได้เข้าไปและกล่าวแก่อารีโอคว่าดังนี้ "ขออย่าฆ่านักปราชญ์แห่งบาบิโลน ขอโปรดนำตัวข้าพเจ้าเข้าไปเฝ้ากษัตริย์ และข้าพเจ้าจะถวายคำแก้ฝันแก่กษัตริย์"
