18. ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ขอทรงเงี่ยพระกรรณสดับฟัง ขอทรงลืมพระเนตรดูความรกร้างของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย ทั้งนครซึ่งเรียกขานกันตามพระนามของพระองค์ เพราะว่าข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายมิได้ถวายคำวิงวอนต่อพระพักตร์พระองค์ โดยอาศัยความชอบธรรมของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย แต่โดยอาศัยพระเมตตาอันยิ่งใหญ่ของพระองค์
