19. เมื่อท่านล้อมหัวเมืองหนึ่งอยู่ช้านาน เพื่อจะสู้รบเอาหัวเมืองนั้น อย่าใช้ขวานฟันทำลายต้นไม้ของเมืองนั้นเสีย เพราะท่านทั้งหลายจะรับประทานผลจากต้นไม้นั้น อย่าโค่นลงเพื่อใช้ในการล้อมเมืองนั้นเลย (เพราะต้นไม้ในทุ่งนาเป็นชีวิตมนุษย์)
