17. ทุกมณฑลทุกเมือง ไม่ว่าที่ใดที่พระบัญชาของกษัตริย์และกฤษฎีกาของพระองค์มาถึง ก็มีความยินดีและความชื่นบานท่ามกลางพวกยิว มีการเลี้ยงและวันรื่นเริง คนเป็นอันมากมาจากชนชาติของประเทศก็ประกาศตัวเป็นพวกยิว เพราะความกลัวพวกยิวมาครอบงำเขา
