15. ต่อมาครั้นพระทัยของฟาโรห์ดื้อไม่ยอมปล่อยให้พวกเราไป พระเยโฮวาห์จึงทรงประหารลูกหัวปีทั้งหลายในประเทศอียิปต์ ทั้งลูกหัวปีของมนุษย์และลูกหัวปีของสัตว์ด้วย เหตุฉะนี้ เราจึงถวายบรรดาสัตว์หัวปีตัวผู้ที่เบิกครรภ์ครั้งแรกแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ แต่บุตรหัวปีทั้งหลายของเรา เราก็ไถ่ไว้'
