3. คนอิสราเอลกล่าวแก่ท่านทั้งสองว่า "พวกข้าพเจ้าตายเสียด้วยพระหัตถ์ของพระเยโฮวาห์ตั้งแต่อยู่ในประเทศอียิปต์ ขณะเมื่อนั่งอยู่ใกล้หม้อเนื้อและรับประทานอาหารอิ่มหนำจะดีกว่า นี่ท่านกลับนำพวกข้าพเจ้าออกมาในถิ่นทุรกันดารอย่างนี้ เพื่อจะให้ชุมนุมชนทั้งหมดหิวตายเท่านั้น"
