32. โมเสสกล่าวว่า "พระเยโฮวาห์มีรับสั่งว่า `จงตวงมานาโอเมอร์หนึ่ง เก็บไว้ตลอดชั่วอายุของเจ้า เพื่อเขาทั้งหลายจะได้เห็นอาหารซึ่งเราเลี้ยงเจ้าในถิ่นทุรกันดารนี้ เมื่อเรานำพวกเจ้าออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์'"
