4. แล้วพระเยโฮวาห์ได้ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า "ดูเถิด เราจะให้อาหารตกลงมาจากท้องฟ้าดุจฝนสำหรับพวกเจ้า ให้พลไพร่ออกไปเก็บทุกวันพอกินเฉพาะวันหนึ่งๆ เพื่อเราจะได้ลองใจว่าเขาจะปฏิบัติตามราชบัญญัติของเราหรือไม่
