23. และต่อมา ครั้นเวลาล่วงมาช้านาน กษัตริย์อียิปต์ก็สิ้นพระชนม์ ชนชาติอิสราเอลก็เศร้าใจมากเพราะเหตุที่เขาเป็นทาส เขาจึงร้องคร่ำครวญ และเสียงร่ำร้องของเขาดังขึ้นไปถึงพระเจ้า ด้วยเหตุที่เป็นทาสนี้
