8. แต่ในพวกนั้นมีอยู่สิบคนด้วยกันที่พูดกับอิชมาเอลว่า "ขออย่าฆ่าเราเสียเลย เพราะเรามีของมีค่า คือข้าวสาลี ข้าวบารลี น้ำมัน และน้ำผึ้งซ่อนไว้ในทุ่งนา" ดังนั้น เขาจึงงดไม่ฆ่าเขาทั้งหลายกับพี่น้องเสีย
