โยชูวา 9.24
24. เขาทั้งหลายตอบโยชูวาว่า "เพราะเขาได้บอกผู้รับใช้ของท่านอย่างแน่นอนว่า พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านได้บัญชาโมเสสผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ให้มอบแผ่นดินนี้ทั้งหมดแก่ท่าน และให้ทำลายชาวแผ่นดินให้พ้นหน้าท่าน เหตุฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าทั้งหลายก็วิตกกลัวท่านทั้งหลายจะทำอันตรายแก่ชีวิตของข้าพเจ้า พวกข้าพเจ้าจึงกระทำอย่างนี้
