24. เศรษฐีจึงร้องว่า `อับราฮัมบิดาเจ้าข้า ขอเอ็นดูข้าพเจ้าเถิด ขอใช้ลาซารัสมาเพื่อจะเอาปลายนิ้วจุ่มน้ำมาแตะลิ้นของข้าพเจ้าให้เย็น ด้วยว่าข้าพเจ้าตรำทุกข์ทรมานอยู่ในเปลวไฟนี้'
