18. `พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงพระพิโรธช้า ทรงอุดมในความเมตตา ทรงโปรดยกโทษความชั่วช้าและให้อภัยการละเมิด แต่ถือว่าไม่มีโทษหามิได้ ให้โทษเพราะความชั่วช้าของบิดาตกทอดไปถึงลูกหลานสามชั่วสี่ชั่วอายุ'
