1. ข้าพเจ้าวางใจในพระเยโฮวาห์ ท่านจะพูดกับจิตใจข้าพเจ้าอย่างไรว่า "จงหนีไปที่ภูเขาเหมือนนก
  
2. เพราะดูเถิด คนชั่วโก่งธนูและเอาลูกธนูพาดสายไว้แล้ว เพื่อจะยิงเข้าไปอย่างลับๆให้ถูกคนใจเที่ยงธรรม
  
3. ถ้ารากฐานถูกทำลายเสียแล้ว คนชอบธรรมจะทำอะไรได้"
  
4. พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงสถิตในพระวิหารอันบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์ พระที่นั่งของพระเยโฮวาห์อยู่บนฟ้าสวรรค์ พระเนตรของพระองค์มองและหนังตาของพระองค์ทดสอบบุตรทั้งหลายของมนุษย์
  
5. พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงทดสอบคนชอบธรรม แต่วิญญาณของพระองค์ทรงเกลียดชังคนชั่วและผู้ที่รักความทารุณโหดร้าย
  
6. พระองค์จะทรงเทบ่วงแร้วต่างๆ เพลิงและไฟกำมะถันใส่คนชั่ว ลมที่แผดเผาจะเป็นส่วนถ้วยของเขาเหล่านั้น
  
7. เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ผู้ชอบธรรมทรงรักความชอบธรรม พระพักตร์ของพระองค์ทอดพระเนตรคนเที่ยงตรง
