16. Vậy, Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên ôi! Chúa đã hứa cùng tôi tớ Chúa là Ða-vít, cha tôi, rằng: Ví bằng con cháu ngươi cẩn thận đường lối mình, giữ theo các luật pháp ta, y như ngươi đã làm, thì trước mặt ta ngươi sẽ chẳng hề thiếu người ngồi trên ngôi Y-sơ-ra-ên; nay cầu xin Chúa hãy giữ gìn lời hứa ấy.
