32. Ê-li-sê đương ngồi trong nhà mình, và các trưởng lão ngồi chung quanh người, thì vua sai một sứ giả đi trước mình đến cùng tiên tri. Nhưng khi sứ giả chưa đến, Ê-li-sê nói với các trưởng lão rằng: Kìa, hãy xem, con kẻ sát nhơn kia sai người đến đặng cắt đầu ta. Khá coi chừng: vừa khi sứ giả đến, hãy đóng cửa lại, dùng cửa xô đuổi nó đi. Các ngươi há chẳng nghe tiếng bước của chủ nó sau lưng nó sao?
