17. Vả, khi Pha-ra-ôn tha dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đi, Ðức Chúa Trời không dẫn dân ấy đi theo đường về xứ Phi-li-tin, là đường gần hơn hết, vì Ngài nói rằng: E khi dân thấy trận mạc, dời lòng trở về xứ Ê-díp-tô chăng.
