1. UYotam ubeminyaka imashumi mabini anamihlanu ezelwe, ukuba ngukumkani kwakhe; waba neminyaka elishumi elinamithandathu engukumkani eYerusalem. Igama lonina lalinguYerusha intombi kaTsadoki.
  
2. Wenza okuthe tye emehlweni kaYehova, njengako konke awakwenzayo u-Uziya uyise; kodwa akangenanga etempileni kaYehova; ke abantu bona babesabenza ububi.
  
3. Yena walakha isango eliphezulu lendlu kaYehova; wakha kakhulu naseludongeni lwaseOfele.
  
4. Wakha imizi kweleentaba lakwaYuda, nasemahlathini wakha iinqaba neemboniselo.
  
5. Walwa noonyana baka-Amon, waboyisa. Oonyana baka-Amon bamnika ngaloo mnyaka ikhulu leetalente zesilivere, neshumi lamawaka eekore zengqolowa, neshumi lamawaka erhasi. Oko baphinda bakuzisa kuye oonyana baka-Amon ngomnyaka wesibini nangowesithathu.
  
6. Womelela ke uYotam; ngokuba waziqinisela iindlela zakhe phambi koYehova uThixo wakhe.
  
7. Ezinye izinto zikaYotam, neemfazwe zakhe zonke, neendlela zakhe, nanzo zibhaliwe encwadini yookumkani bakwaSirayeli nabakwaYuda.
  
8. Ubeminyaka imashumi mabini anamihlanu ezelwe, ukuba ngukumkani kwakhe; waba neminyaka elishumi elinamithandathu engukumkani eYerusalem.
  
9. UYotam walala kooyise; bamngcwabela emzini kaDavide; uAhazi, unyana wakhe, waba ngukumkani esikhundleni sakhe.
