1. Ngomnyaka wokuza kukaTartan eAshdode, ethunywe nguSargon, ukumkani waseAsiriya (walwa neAshdode, wayithimba), ngelo xesha,
  
2. wathetha uYehova ngoIsaya unyana ka-Amotsi, esithi, Yiya ukhulule ingubo erhwexayo emanqeni akho, uzikhulule iimbadada ezinyaweni zakho. Wenjenjalo ke, wahamba ze, engenazo neembadada.
  
3. Wathi ke uYehova, Njengokuba umkhonzi wam uIsaya ehambe ze, engenambadada, iminyaka emithathu, waba ngumqondiso nesimanga kwiYiputa nakwaKushi:
  
4. uya kwenjenjalo ukumkani waseAsiriya ukubaqhuba abathinjiweyo baseYiputa, nabafudusiweyo bakwaKushi, abantwana namadoda amakhulu, beze, bengenambadada, behamba ngeempundu, intoleyo eziintloni kwiYiputa.
  
5. Baya kuqhiphuka umbilini badane nguKushi, inqolonci yabo, nayiYiputa, iqhayiya labo;
  
6. bathi ke abemi bolo nxweme ngaloo mini, Yabonani, inje inqolonci yethu, esasabela kuyo ukuba sincedwe, sihlangulwe kukumkani waseAsiriya; singathini na ke ukusinda thina?
