1. Eyokuqiqa kaDavide; oko ebesemqolombeni. Umthandazo. Ndikhala kuYehova ngezwi lam, Ndikhunga uYehova ngezwi lam,
  
2. Ndiphalaza inkalazo yam phambi kwakhe, Ndixela imbandezelo yam phambi kwakhe.
  
3. Ekutyhafeni komoya phakathi kwam, Uyayazi wena ingqushu yam. Emendweni endihamba ngawo Bandiqhushekela isibatha.
  
4. Bheka ngasekunene ubone, Akukho undibukayo; Andinandawo ndingasabela kuyo, Akukho uwukhathaleleyo umphefumlo wam.
  
5. Ndikhala kuwe, Yehova, Ndithi, Nguwe ihlathi lam, Isabelo sam ezweni labahleliyo.
  
6. Kubazele indlebe ukuhlahlamba kwam, Ngokuba ndiswele kakhulu: Ndihlangule kwabandisukelayo, Ngokuba bomelele kunam.
  
7. Wukhuphe entolongweni umphefumlo wam, Ndibulele kwigama lakho. Amalungisa aya kuzithi jize ngesithsaba ngenxa yam, Ngokuba undiphethe kakuhle.
